Dieting, Tubas, and Socks...

On Thursday we celebrated "No Diet Day" by endulging in some guilty pleasures. Mac n' Cheese for mom and tot's lunch, Tim Bit bites for the family for dessert, some potato chips that we rarely keep in the house... etc. It was bad... but fun. ;-)

Yesterday the celebrations of choice didn't particularly leave me feeling inspired. I love cooking but don't really enjoy lamb, so roasting a leg of lamb didn't sound very fun. International Tuba Day was really all there was to celebrate, so I looked up the tuba on the internet and learned that "tuba" is latin for trumpet or horn. Interesting.

Today, however, is a day I can get on board with and we have the perfect weather in which to celebrate it. It's "No Socks Day!" To strip off those stinky socks, and bury your toes in some fresh grass, warm sand or simply enjoy letting your "dogs" air out! We're headed to the park for a picnic and some fun without our socks. ;-)

What did you do to celebrate today?

Tomorrow: Mother's Day; Lost Sock Memorial Day; National Butterscotch Brownie Day
