Reading Allowed

Of all the non-sweet holidays to celebrate today, my pick was "Read Aloud" day since one of my favourite things to do is to cuddle up in a chair with my baby girl and read stories before she naps/sleeps. She loves books, loves turning the pages, loves the silly voices we use, and anticipates certain parts with squeals and the clapping of hands. From the silly VeggieTales books that teach her about colours, opposites, and time, to those crazy monkeys who just won't stop jumping on the bed, reading aloud is always allowed in our home.

What did you choose to celebrate today?

Tomorrow's choices: National Crown Roast of Pork Day; National Be Heard Day; Learn What Your Name Means Day; National Cereal Day.
